This village has a wonderful view over the Bay of Mirabello and is 25 kms from Sitia on the north coastal road. It organizes many cultural events during the summer months. A unique Minoan domed tomb with the remains of 60 bodies was discovered at "Galana Harakia", the first of its kind in Crete. The ruins of a Venetian watch tower known as "The Tower of Kornaros" are preserved next to the church of Agios Antoniou.
