Skopi is one of the biggest villages in the region and produces large quantities of olive oil. At the coastal hamlet of Platani you can visit the monastery of Panagia Fanaromeni which dates from the 15th century. Another important site is the ruins of the historic fortress of Liopetrou probobly built by the Genoans. The small coastal settlement of Platani and Papadiokambos also belong to Skopi.
