A fertile green village 19 kms from Sitia well-known for its hospitality and for its wine, first recorded in ancient times, which is made from a special kind of grape. Domed tombs from the post Minoan period have been found in the area along with the artefacts buried with the dead. The small settlement of Kalavros, set in imposing scenery on the isolated coast, also belongs to Mesa Mouliana.
